Converting Your Song(s) to .mp3 Format:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
The mp3 file that you submit/upload to INDIE INTERNATIONAL should be
128mbps stereo or LOWER quality. (i.e. 64mbps, 32mpbs, etc.) Although
you can submit an mp3 that is higher quality, we prefer that you do not as it
will occasionally cause problems for the judges and can delay your
submission, or even potentially bump your song entry into the NEXT
contest date as a result. Since the judges/site visitors will be streaming
your mp3 from the internet, they are limited by their individual internet
speed.
BEFORE YOU START:
You must have an mp3 converter to convert your song(s) to mp3 format. If you
do not have one already installed on your computer or if you are not sure, you
can download a free version at:
http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/?q=download
Download ONLY the CDex version that is right for your computer type and
run the setup wizard by double clicking the icon you have saved to your
computer.
PLEASE NOTE: The program is set to produce the correct bitrate (128mbps/stereo)
for submission when it is installed on your computer...there is no need to change any settings before
you start the conversion procedure.
