Brue Monger was formed in the spring of 2004 in Garfield NJ by Mike Williamson and John Beattie. Brue Monger originated as a heavy metal band but toned down a bit when Lloyd Haylock left Texas to join the band as the lead singer in the fall of 2004. From 2004-2005 the band shared an apartment in Garfield and the bulk of the Brue Monger catalogue was written there between those years. Brue Monger searched for a drummer but never settled on one. Haylock moved back to Texas in late 2005, but returned in the late spring 2006 to record three more songs with the band. Having gone their seperate ways, the members of Brue Monger are no longer actively working together, but some are working solo projects. The trio is never more than a phone call away, awaiting the day to return to Mongering.
