Singer-songwriter Jason MacDonald has created an original sound all of his own. His songs feature a fresh sound of contemporary folk infused with an adult alternative mix of lasting lyrical impressions. His 2005 release, “The Day”, builds on the strong foundation set by his debut recording “Leave My Mark” and showcases the depth of Jason’s songwriting with an edgier production element. Throughout the eleven original songs on “The Day” Jason has managed to capture an earthy, live feel which translates well from the studio to the stage. “The Day” was recorded at the award winning Lakewind Sound Studio with Jason making his debut as producer along with veteran Fred Lavery. In 2006 Jason was nominated for an ECMA award and showcased at the CCMA. Jason continues to sharing his songs and stories with audiences throughout Atlantic Canada and New England.
