Anne Grete Helgheim is a singer/songwriter from the western part of Norway, currently living in Liverpool, UK.
She got her musical upbringing in the norwegian folk music tradition, learning to play the eight strings harding fiddle from the age of eight.
The need of finding her own musical expression led her into songwriting. She has managed to create her own personal musical style featuring strong tunes and traditional elements influenced by her backgrounf, using instruments like upright bass, mandolin and accordion in the arrangements. Her warm acoustic sound ans sothing melodies adds an unique contribution to the contemporary folk scene in Liverpool.
