Gretel and the Teramachi
SONG INFORMATION
Warm Hands
written by: Gretel Templeton
genre: folk/acoustic

A purely acoustic song featuring simple acoustic guitar, vocal harmonies and strings. It was written about inspirational moment I had with one of my favourite singer/songwriters. Was one of those moments where somebody you really admire reaches out to you and hands you their inspiration.

SONGWRITERS BIOGRAPHY
Suited to the cold climate of Tasmania, where Gretel hails from, Gretel and the Teramachi create the perfect soundtrack for sitting in front of the fire with hands around a cup of chai.

Growing up in a community with an abundance of folk music, this has become a clear influence, which is mixed up with a twist of rock and a sprinkle of pop. Gretel's natural vocal tone combines with layers of harmonies, strings and fat acoustic guitars.

Their music combines a wholesome presentation of natural vocal folk with a mild rock element that gives more energy than you might initially expect. A very tidy acoustic guitar presence and solos combined with measured transitions in tempo and mood work well with Gretel Templeton's vocal tone.

Although quiet and unassuming on stage, the group of friends never take themselves too seriously with laughter always popping up on stage and in the audience alike. With songs about everything from the meaning of life to a pet cat, they are sure to ruffle up a smile or two and capture your heart.
