A song inspired by an article I read in a Washington newspaper about the problems with the foster care system in Washington state. One of the young girls interviewed was 20 years old with two children and was wanting to break the cycle of her past life but was finding it very hard.

The Small Stuff
written by: Patrice Webb
genre: americana/country

This song popped into my head after I got locked out of my house....naked. When I was standing on a ladder (naked) trying to figure out how to get a window open so I could bet back into the house the phrase "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" went wafting through my head. I will send this out to anyone who has had a bad day - And next time I will keep a spare set of clothing and keys outside where I can get to them in case this ever happens again.
Loaves and Fishes

Dedicated to the homeless shelter Loaves and Fishes in Sacramento County California. This was inspired by my husband who had gone down to the shelter to make a donation. He was telling me about the people he encountered during the time he spent there.

Such a poignant song sung so sweetly. Not a topic most singers would even touch. It's very evident how much she cares. A great voice with obvious empathy.

I love the insightful nature of this song. A sad story but the song captures the hurt and anguish that a decision like this can have on your life. A beautiful tale of sorrow delivered by an angelic voice, and a sincere heart! The music flows easily and is not overshadowed by the story. I love it!
