SONGWRITERS BIOGRAPHY
Bill James is a Los Angeles based jazz artist who has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, and the Hollywood Bowl.

He is debuting his newest CD, “Mi Sabor Latino” ©2012, on Friday, March 30th at 8:00 PM at the M-Bar in Hollywood at 1253 Vine Street (SW corner of Vine and Fountain). His album is comprised of 10 of his original tunes. It is a Latin jazz flavored collection of spicy sambas, saucy ballads, and sleek bossas and meringues that will entice it’s listeners to dance and sway to its pulsing Latin beats.

He has performed with such luminaries as Shorty Rogers, Justo Almario, Abe Laboriel, Alex Acuna, and with several bands including Jericho, The Upstairs Band, and with international artist, Frank Giraldo. He currently performs with a Latin jazz band in the Malibu/Westlake Village area, and with The Jimmy McConnell Orchestra. He has his own trio and quintet under the name of The Bill James Group. Bill is also an alumni of the Cal State Long Beach Music Department and Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Bill James began performing at an early age; through the years he has been influenced by such stellar jazz artists as Nestor Torres, Dave Valentin, Paquito D’Rivera, and Phil Woods. When not recording or performing, Bill spends his time researching and working with the latest computer systems, and developing computer software.
