I was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. To date, I have been awarded five professional songwriting grants from FACTOR (The Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings). I got my first single-song publishing deal in 1990 with Saddlestone Records of Vancouver, B.C. with a song called "I'm sorry for all the Tears". Since then I've been lucky enough to have a few more published and several of my compositions recorded by Independent Artists.
Songwriting started out as a hobby when I was a teenager but itís much more than that today...itís my IDENTITY. I work hard at continually trying to improve my craft by attending various seminars, workshops, taking trips to Nashville, recording professional demos of my songs and focusing on expanding my circle of co-writers.
My ultimate goal is one that I believe a lot of writers share and that would be to one day have a cut by a major artist. It's a long road (as they say) but I'm enjoying the ride. Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me.
