Claudia Vorbach is a Pop & Jazz-singer and a songwriter from Southern Germany. As a performer she likes the typical songwriter-style (solo with guitar or piano) as much as singing with a band.
“Miss Authentic” one of her fellow musicians has called her, an nickname that expresses an essential feature of her music. The way she sings makes you feel her passionate urge to get across to the audience what she herself feels about her songs.
For her each song has a kind of impetus which she wants to follow while composing the music. Thus, she crosses musical and stylistic boundaries. So, in her songs elements of Jazz, Folk, Blues and Soul come together.
She has released her debut album “Come Down Easy” in April 2015.
It is an acoustic pop-jazz album with 13 original titles which she has wrote arrangements for. She is accompanied by piano/rhodes (Tobias Becker),double-bass (Axel Kuehn) and drums (Felix Schrack).
She was happy to have the experienced recording engineer Tom Krueger (Ernie Watts, Joy Denalane, Joachim Kühn/Alphonse Mouzon, Gregor Hübner etc.) with her in the studio for mixing the whole thing.
The album is available on Qobuz, Spotify, Deezer, E-music,jpc ,Amazon, I-tunes etc.
These two quotations give an idea of what making music means to her:
"Music the great communicator." (Red Hot Chilli Peppers)
"Music is going to break the way because music is in a spiritual thing of its own. It's like the waves of the ocean. You can't just cut out the perfect wave and take it home with you." (Jimi Hendrix)
